More "Mormon Helping Hands" help with volunteer work at Kelly School in Compton. Some

volunteers painted poles or window frames; some cleaned up around the school. Members of the

Long Beach Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (L.D.S.) were the

primary organizers but some school employees or friends of Kelly Elementary were involved.

Ropen, Indava, Seklo-bali

On Umboi Island, Papua New Guinea, the long-tailed creature

is called "ropen." Other giant nocturnal flying creatures in this

part of the world have other names: "indava," and "seklo-bali."
